Sabiha Majgaonkar

Sabiha Majgaonkar hails from a small city Ratnagiri in Maharashtra, India

and has studied partially in India and partially in

Dubai at the Our Own English High School, Dubai.

Born to a languages teacher and Urdu poet, Sabiha has always been attracted

towards language, arts and creativity.

While her career began as a teacher, she soon moved into the logistics

world and has worked as Operations Manager in various Removals and Relocations

organizations for 18 years. She had a career change over a year ago

when she joined The Junction, the home to Dubai Theatre,

as Operations Manager.Sabiha has been involved in theatre since 2005

and has worked with different banners like Theatrewallas and

Third Half Theatre before starting her own group Orb Theatricals in 2013.

Under this banner, she has produced and directed multiple short plays

including the Award Winning Blabbermouth and three full-length plays including Agnes,

Carnage and 'Night, Mother - all very well received by the audiences.

As an actor, she has been seen on stage in many short and full-length plays

including Dangerous Corner, Arsenic & Old Lace, Prisoner of 2nd Avenue,

Carnage and 'Night, Mother. She has also dabbled in a bit of screen acting

in three short films, one of which is to release very soon.

Sabiha won the Best Director award for Agnes and also was the Best Actress

1st Runner up in the 48 Hour Theatre Festival.

Apart from being an actor, producer and director, she is also the festival director

for Short+Sweet Theatre Dubai.

She also teaches theatre under the banner of Stepping Stones. 

With Yaar Julahe she has been instrumental in bringing the project together by being actively involved both on and off stage.
