Richa Anand Nigam is from Kanpur (U.P.) and has a
Masters Degree in English + B.Ed. (Teachers’ Training) from Kanpur University.

She has 10+ years of teaching experience across schools and University, in India and the Gulf region and 5 years of work experience in Market Research.
Richa has a never-dying happy spirit and immense love for the art.

She has performed lead and character roles,

in many plays during school and College. Richa returned to theatre life after 23 years,

in 2017, during Short + Sweet Theatre Festival in Dubai.

Her play Udaan, a monologue written, directed and enacted by her reached the

Gala Finals of Short+Sweet 2018. Richa has been part of full-length productions like

Julius Caesar and Sutradhar which won the best production in

The Junction Awards 2019. Since 2018 Richa has also been actively involved

with Orb Theatricals and has co-produced the critically acclaimed

'Night, Mother with them.
Apart from theatre, she is also a screen actress and has featured in a few short films including Naukar Rani which crossed a 100k views on Facebook in a months time of its release.

She has also done a couple of ads and very recently a feature film as well.
Besides being passionate about teaching and acting this mother of two boys takes the role of being a home-maker very seriously having chosen to be one since the past few years.
Richa is on board Yaar Julahe to take the bulk of the backstage, props and costume workload off our shoulders and she has been fabulously managing all of it.
