Mahua Krishnadev is from Udaipur (Rajasthan); she has a master’s degree in Hindi and Rajasthani Literature (gold medal) and a post-graduate diploma in Journalism from IIMC along with teachers training.

She learned Kathak from National School of Kathak under the tutelage of

Guru Padamshri Urmila Nagar Ji.

And is trained in contemporary dancing, Chau and Thang-ta martial art and Aerials. Her professional stage journey started at the tender age of 7.

She has been nurtured and patronized by Dr Arjun Deo Charan, a veteran theatre artist,

writer and critic (presently Chairman NSD) and is associated with Kshitij Repertory,

Dr Girish Karnad. She has worked with theatre legends like Dr Rattan Thiyaam,

Dr Chandra Dasan and Mime and Natyshastra expert Padmvibhushan Dr Niranjan Goswami.

She has few documentaries to her credit for NHRC and a Dance based docudrama

for DD international. Discovery Channel has produced a series of films based on

her research work on ‘roots and growth of Indian dances’.

She has been conducting live shows for Vividh -Bharti India.

She has won many awards including Sangeet Natak Akadami Award,

Veer Durgadas Award, Parampara Award, JRF from cultural ministry,

National scholarship and a state-level scholarship to mark her contribution

to performing arts. She has been representing India at different festivals of

repute world over and been part of different Indian festivals like SAARC

festivals and a number of classical dance concerts.

Her Dance theatre productions include Until Dead, Dusty Clouds,

Isolated Together, Scratch Back, Kanupriya, Kirtan, Dharm-Karm, Stri,

Manto ke Kirdaar, Agansnaan, Batuliyo to name a few.

Being a proud part of Rammat Theatre she has performed extensively

under the direction of Dr Arjun Deo Charan. She has performed in

festivals like BHARANGAM, Vasantotsava, SNA fests, NSD fests ZCC fests,

the list is endless! She is a writer and a pioneer in a natural intelligence

program called BODILY KINESTHETICS in this part of the world.

Yaar Julahe is the first baby she is producing and directing in Dubai.
